Zuhrah’s Chanters are Shriners interested in choral singing. We sing music of all types - patriotic, religious, show tunes, etc. We participate in concerts, ceremonials and parades. Formed in 1922, we are the sixth oldest Zuhrah Shrine unit.

There are about eighty Shriners in our chorus, about fifty of whom are active singers, with the balance being life and associate members who participate in our social activities. Our active group includes a quartet, some soloists, instrumentalists, and novelty acts.

Being in a parade with the Chanters requires little physical exertion - we ride! Our excellent float has a great sound system and a canopy to protect us from the elements!

We seek individuals in all voice ranges from tenor to bass who enjoy singing. The ability to read music is a plus, but not a requirement. You do not have to be a soloist - the ability to blend with others is the key to good choral singing.
